Abstract

Jelen tanulmány szerzői a Budapesti Gazdasági Egyetem (BGE) Pénzügyi és Számviteli Karán (PSZK), a karriertervezés témakörében indított, választható idegen nyelvű kurzusokon szerzett tapasztalataikat mutatják be. Ezek a kurzusok angol nyelven Career Planning, német nyelven Karrieraufbau néven kerültek meghirdetésre a hallgatók számára. Ezeknek a kurzusoknak fő célja az, hogy a diákokat olyan általános és átvihető készségekkel ruházzák fel, melyeket a hazai munkaadók elvárnak a munka világába belépni szándékozó jelentkezőktől. A tanulmányban kitérünk a kurzus hasznosságát vizsgáló hallgatói vélemények elemzésére is.

Abstract

The authors of the present study discuss their experience and findings regarding a foreign language elective course, entitled Career Planning in English and Karriereaufbau in German, which was first introduced by the Language Department of the College of Finance and Accountancy of Budapest Business School in the academic year 2014-2015. Apart from improving undergraduates’ foreign language skills, the main objective of the course offered in both languages is to equip students with generic transferable skills that are increasingly desirable by prospective employers in the Hungarian labour market. Undergraduates’ experience about the usefulness of the course is also reflected upon in this paper.
