Abstract
Migration is one of the significant phenomena of our times, its analysis is a topical issue in social science research projects. Te question could to be examined through different aspects, from which one possible and current way is to analyze economically motivated labor flow. Tis paper will present economic theories in relation to migration in order to reflect on the following problems: While it seems that the motivational factors of the economic migration could be easily revealed, the decisions concerning migration are much more complex. Tus, it is not enough to involve a few important explaining factors in order to be able provide a sound model for the phenomenon. After the discussion and analysis of different theoretical models it can be argued that the migration processes delineated by the tools of economics are far from precise. Although this problem is not new, in order to underpin the above mentioned claims, the paper also reflect upon the main conclusions of East-European migration flows following the “opening of the doors” in UK.
Abstract
A migráció napjaink egyik fontos gazdasági jelensége, elemzése népszerű téma a társadalomtudományi kutatásokban. A kérdést sokféle aspektusból érdemes megvizsgálni; egyik lehetséges és aktuális módja, ha a gazdasági indíttatású munkaerő-áramlást elemezzük. E tanulmány megkísérel a migrációt magyarázó közgazdasági elméletek egy részének bemutatásával rávilágítani a következő problémára: Bár a gazdasági indíttatású migrációs folyamatok motivációs tényezői látszólag egyszerűen feltárhatóak, a migrációra vonatkozó döntések a valóságban sokkal összetettebbek annál, hogy néhány valóban fontos magyarázó tényező kiemelésével a jelenséget általánosan is modellezni tudjuk. A modellek ismertetését és elemzését követően megállapítható, hogy a logikai úton, a közgazdaságtan eszköztárával jól megragadható vándorlási folyamatok a valóságban kevésbé jól működnek. Bár a probléma felismerése önmagában nem újdonság, mondanivalóm alátámasztására cikkemben röviden elemzem a „brit kapunyitást” követő kelet-európai migrációs folyamatok tapasztalatait.
