Abstract
Az eredetileg Arcigola néven 1986-ban, az észak-olaszországi Piemont tartományban elindult kezdeményezés néhány év múltán kontinenseken átívelő mozgalommá nőtte ki magát. A non-profit szerveződés célja az ételek és az étkezés érték voltának hangsúlyozása, a környezettel összhangban álló helyi hagyományok és termelői tevékenységek elismer( tet)ése és védelme. A cikkben röviden felidézzük a Slow Food születésének sajátos körülményeit, vázoljuk az alapító Carlo Petrini portréját, valamint a mozgalom közel 30 éves történetének főbb állomásait, röviden kitérve a Torinóban 2014. őszén tartott Salone Internazionale del Gusto Terra Madre kiállítás és konferencia eredményeire is.
Abstract
The international movement started in the region of Piedmont (northern Italy) in 1986 under the name Arcigola, and expanded globally within a few years. The non-profit organisation that operates worldwide aims to promote local foods and centuries-old traditions of gastronomy and food production. The paper summarizes the 30 years old history of the movement and presents the historical and political context of its constitution. The paper attempts to give a portrait of the founder Carlo Petrini, and to give an overview of the main results of the Conference and Exposition Terra Madre of Turin 2014.
