Abstract
Ho Chi Minh City, which is classed among the fastest developing cities in the Southeast Asia region, is attracting an increasing number of investments for the city and national economic growth. The city has been well known as an economic hub of Vietnam regarding development of finance and infrastructure, etc. The city is becoming an international financial center in the Mekong region. This paper will analyze the development of the city diplomacy concerning policies as well as the city’s diplomatic capabilities for international economic integration based on previous theoretical frameworks.
