Abstract

In this study, the relationship between sustainable universities and environmental education was analyzed from the viewpoint of tourism as seen by students’ opinions. Also, with this research showed why are green universities important and what are green applications in the Budapest Business School. 1050 people participated in the connections between green universities and environmentally conscious modes of living survey. All respondents are studying at Budapest Business School and data collected fromthe 18-22 years age group.In this basic principle it was stated that the graduates at the Budapest Business School are aiming at becoming responsible civics of tertiary education and as they would be top and mid-level managers they could exert great influenceon the green development of economy in the future.The authors emphasize as a success, that green university will lead the ranking of the universities which will become the winner of the 4th industrial revolution. Mastering sustainable subjects are improving comprehensive and cohesive thinking. Energy and cost reduction is not the only goal in higher education; integrating sustainable subjects into courses and putting them into practice have importance also. The classes of sustainable tourism significantly re-evaluate the students’ commitment to sustainable development.The research it emphasizes the importance of the sustainabilitys issue to the educational institutions and green universities, and it inspires us to make some action at the same time.
