Overtourism és alternatív szálláshelyek – a budapesti szálláshely-ipar új irányvonalai A tanulmány célja felmérni, hogy az overtourism, azaz a„túlturizmus” milyen hatást gyakorol a budapesti szálláshelypiacra. Az overtourism jelensége a települések számára a – Butler (1980) desztinációs életciklusában említett – stagnálás időszakát hozta el. Doxy (1978) Irridex-indexének irritációs szakaszában a helyiek mindenért a turizmust kezdik el hibáztatni. Ebből a fenntarthatatlan helyzetből csak állami segítséggel és a fenntartható turizmus fejlesztésével lehet szabadulni. A tanulmány célkitűzésként jelölte meg a budapesti szálláshelypiac elemzését, a fenntartható turizmus lehetőségeinek bemutatását, valamint egy kérdőíves elemzés keretein belül az alternatív szálláshelyek megítélése került górcső alá.
Abstract
The study seeks to survey what impacts overtourism has on Budapest’s accommodation market. The phenomenon of overtourism has brought along a period of stagnation – as interpreted along Butler’s (1980) model of destination life cycle – for the touristic destinations involved. In this situation, in the Doxyan (1978) Irridex index’s irritational stage, locals start to blame tourism for practically everything. Out of this non-sustainable situation a way out can only be found with the help of state support and through the development of sustainable tourism. This study aims to analyse Budapest’s accommodation market, introduces sustainable tourism supporting initiatives, and describes the perception of alternative accommodation as shown by the results of a questionnaire study.
